Meet Jason

Jason was born and raised in Chicago. As the great-grandson of a peddler on Maxwell Street, and the grandson of a hot dog stand owner, Jason has deep roots in our community.

As a dad of three, the proud husband to a former CPS teacher and a former adjunct professor at UIC Law School, Jason will ensure our schools have the resources they need.

Jason's background in public service and Democratic causes started at a young age as a student volunteer for Senator Paul Simon's presidential campaign. Jason would go on to campaign for Carol Moseley Braun, America's first African-American woman elected to the U.S. Senate; intern for Rahm Emanuel in President Bill Clinton's White House and Senator Dick Durbin on the Senate Judiciary Committee; and work on the 1992 Democratic National Committee for President Clinton.

Jason has deep experience leading large organizations and knows what it takes to create good jobs and get things done in our community, whether in business or community organizations. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin and Georgetown University, Jason practiced real estate law in Chicago. Over the past twenty years, Jason has supported hundreds of businesses across the city and created thousands of good-paying jobs, including good-paying union jobs, right here in Chicago.

With his deep roots in Chicago and passion for public service, Jason serves his community in many ways including serving on the board of directors of the Jewish United Fund and as the former chairman of the Young Presidents’ Organization.

Our democracy is in crisis as Trump dismantles our government to cut consumer protections and social services.

Jason has the expertise and vision we need in Washington to help families who are struggling with costs and wages that aren’t keeping up.

It’s time to send someone to Washington who shares our values and also has the background and energy to take on Trump to defend our rights, improve our health care, and bring relief to working families. The same old approach is not cutting it.
